This painting is full of bold, expressive brushstrokes. The inspiration comes from the fields in Wick, Worcestershire. Delphiniums are growing in magnificent shades of pinks, purples, white and blues.I have used paint build up in layers to suggest these tones and reflect the light bouncing off the petals. This is one of my smaller paintings of the series.
