“art allows me to express emotions, find connections and capture life”
BA(Hons) Fine Art, University of Cheltenham and Gloucester.
Since I can remember I have been creating. Whether writing, painting, making or building. As a child I spent many hours happily creating different worlds and losing myself in the process of making. After school, I worked in pottery learning the skills of throwing, glazing and the love of clay. It was a difficult decision to leave but college allowed me to explore different artistic medias which lead to my career in paint!
I am fortunate to be able to continue this adventure everyday in my garden studio, hopefully still with my childhood enthusiasm, which leads me to explore acrylics, inks and oils. Art is part of me, my life without art would be unthinkable. It allows me to reflect, explore and express.
I paint to connect with people, to remember a walk through a meadow , a windy beach and the smells and sounds of life.
Painting is my ‘happy place’. That is why I paint.
